Here we go again… despite the good long range weather forecast it is thundering, streaking with lightning and hail pelting down, as I write… so am praying that the weather has washed itself out by the time we get to HOPTON holiday Village,

which is on the A12 BETWEEN great YARMOUTH and Lowestoft… quite near last year actually, but this time right on the beach. But be prepared for a real old fashioned end of pier type holiday - those horrible arcades the kids love so much, cafes selling fish and chips and all that unhealthy food - a far cry from the colourful bijou cafes in Greece and Croatia. But we pays our money and takes our choice,

I guess. At least the kids will like it and there are 2 nice big swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) as well as the beach.. if the weather is nice that's all we need. Maybe bring along your stripey one piece down to the knee bathing suit and your knotted hanky to fit in with the ambience of the place!

What is essential is to bring your own sheets and towels, they supply the kitchen equipment but not linen. As usual we will do neurofeedback in the morning and Tony will organize his usual hopping/juggling/kicking/skipping back - breaking games before bedtime to tire everyone out. Nick will organize another dive one afternoon and has also complied a list of local attractions that you can go off in the car to, if it rains. (those three words are probably the most spoken words in England!)

The caravans (more like mobile homes really) ARE READY FROM 4PM on the 27th July (monday) and we have 7 nights, leaving on the 3rd August. The actual address is HOPTON holiday VILLAGE, Hopton-on-Sea, nr Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR31 9BW
