This is a unique opportunity to learn both theory and practice
of neurofeedback from world leaders in the field, while holidaying
on the Adriatic coast. Spend a week on the charming Isle of
Brac in Croatia with children and adults who are receiving
neurofeedback while also on holiday.
This therapeutic holiday is organized by Professor Yuri Kropotov,
an expert in brainwave analysis, Dr Beverley and Tony Steffert,
UK. and Dr. Wytze Van de Zwaag, Holland, all psychologists
and neurofeedback specialists. This informal week is divided
into clinical, theoretical and hands-on practice with the
professionals and clients. Thus a major part will be on structured
practicals and discussions. These will be on qEEG's, neurofeedback,
specific learning difficulties, psychological issues and peak
performance. The theory covered will be on the analysis of
Quantitative EEG, databases of normal brainwaves, and major
research in the basis of neurofeedback and direct stimulation
(Transcranial direct current stimulation or tDCS).
The mornings will involve "hands-on" demonstration as well
as an opportunity to practise on some clients. Part of the
afternoon will be devoted to discussion, questions and answer
sessions on the theory of neuronal rhythms, major research
on their alteration by neurofeedback and direct stimulation
(tCDS), data bases, psychometrics and any other theoretical
issues the participants would like to bring up. Thus the basis
of running a neurofeedback practice is covered. The clients
will all have a QEEG recorded which will be interpreted by
Professor Kropotov. This guides the Neurofeedback protocols.
Opportunities to talk to the clients, children, parents and
Neurofeedback practitioners will allow a participant a unique
perspective on the whole process of brain mapping, neurofeedback
and management of specific learning difficulties from all
viewpoints. Lectures for parents on nutrition, parenting and
stress reduction techniques are also open to participants.
